Instagram Now Allows Anyone to Download Public Reels
Instagram has updated its features to allow users worldwide to download public Reels directly to their devices. This new functionality was previously limited to saving Reels within the app for later viewing. Downloaded Reels will include an Instagram watermark and the account name, similar to TikTok's format. Users can download a Reel by tapping the share button and selecting the download option. However, accounts have the option to disable downloading for their Reels through privacy settings. Notably, downloaded Reels using licensed audio clips will be muted, while those with original audio tracks will retain their sound. This feature, initially available to U.S. users since June, is now globally accessible.
